Well, i don't care all that much, Apple is almost as bad as microsoft anyway(does anyone seriously think that Apple is less closed then microsoft? Just look at the iphone, have you ever seen it shipped with anything else than ios?).
Their customer buy macs just because they think it make them look serious(just like most of those who use ubuntu). Of all the mac customers, how many of them really have a use for it? 1%? And even then, now mac are just low-end pc shipped with macos and that cost you one arm, proof is, you can even install Macos on a regular intel pc... And what's more, macos is as closed as windows, due to that and the horrible prices, apple will nerver dominate, maybe when they divide they price by 2-3 but not before. So hooray for GNU/linux, hooray for square enix and FF on linux! (I'm counting on you guys).
EDIT: It seems that the 1.23 version isn't working on wine anymore... not at all... So please SE, i pray you, make a linux version or at the very least a wine-friendly one, or better maybe patch wine a bit so that it work with your game(it's open source after all^^). If you do so, I'll be forever in love with you(uh, i'm a male though so it only count for girls, for the rest you will have my deepest friendship^^)

I have an interesting feeling that it won't be in a hard spot for long, at least so long as Microsoft does force MetroUI upon the desktop power-users that generally includes most PC gamers, as MetroUI is quite clearly further "consolification" of the desktop PC to a PC gamer. That is why I am alright with that.
I too see an xbox release before linux if ever.
Linux is sort of a in a hard spot, when it comes to this sort of thing, companies don't release software for it because their market share wouldn't really pay off, and people don't use it because companies don't release software on it. But if companies did start releasing software for it linux there isn't really a reason why it couldn't grow at a rapid rate.
???? I have a hell of a time trying to figure out people problem with Metro. Metro is not this game changing thing that's going to ruin Windows OS. I've been testing Win8 for some time
and even made some app's just to play with it. As of the latest release it's pretty solid now. And win8 is not a
a hard concept to grasp. Atleast for me, but I'm a WP7 user. I've loaded a few games on Win8 and they play
just like they do on win7.
MetroUI is a tablet UI that's specialized for the touchscreen interface. It is nothing but an inconvenience for a keyboard/mouse user. Hell, to make matters worse there's not even the slightest bit of information that anyone will be able to natively disable MetroUI so they can use a traditional desktop UI from the moment Windows boots up to the moment it shuts down.???? Abysmally small. lol.
Also abysmally has the word small in it to remind you of that point a second time.
I would love to this game on linux
pretty sure people who run linux also have a windows partition/windows pc
Linux isn't really till something to look at till AMD and to an lesser extent Nvidia provides better support for openGL in linux.
