The threads I have read by grimm has been valid and actual ideas. Maybe his explanations are a bit... lacking?
To me at least, that is part of the defintion of a troll. Complaining without any room for explanation. not just on the odd occasion tho, but what seems as a rule.

take this post as an example. He says "we need to work this game from ground zero". Ok, so now what. Say SE took his comment seriously, where would that leave the game? Nowhere, because he has no development in his ideas.

He considers a single suggestion and throws it out without consequence. to me, that is a troll.

    Defenition of troll:
"One who purposely and deliberately (that purpose usually being self-amusement) starts an argument in a manner which attacks others on a forum without in any way listening to the arguments proposed by his or her peers. He will spark of such an argument via the use of ad hominem attacks (i.e. 'you're nothing but a fanboy' is a popular phrase) with no substance or relevence to back them up as well as straw man arguments, which he uses to simply avoid addressing the essence of the issue."

Now if the OP was "this game sucks. scrap it. i hate it. wow is better anyway. start over." that would be trolling. Like I previously mentioned, maybe the explanation is lacking but that doesn't make someone a troll. Just bad at explaining. Why not ask them to elaborate instead of throwing out the word troll? Ask instead "well what sort of ideas do you have to further the game if they halt the development of the current FFXIV?"
