They will most probably add on top of it, but if you hope people won't be able to switch class with their weapon freely, or to mix and match abilities, I think you'll be hoping for a long time.
He has said he doesn't want to do a player wipe and they are going to avoid it. Still i'm pretty much still looking at this game as a beta.. its pretty much how they are treating it.

It all comes down to how many people are going to pay monthly when they decide to start charging. If they can keep their subscribers, and have an additional 10% keeping the system vs doubling with a new design and a player wipe... which way do you think they will go?

This is a game for us, but its a source of income for SE. They are going to appeal to the mass market or they will fail. It really wouldn't bother me if they did a player wipe with the ps3 release... whenever thats going to happen. But who knows? Nothing is certain and i'm sure the last thing they want to do is upset the players, but sometimes you gotta break a few eggs.

You may love the armory system and think its the best thing in the world. But this isn't about a person, its about making money. Its going to come down to return on investment on man hours, and how many people will join/leave with changes.

You'll stay if the armory system stays the way it is. I won't. But in the end that doesn't matter, what matters is the other people out there both playing and not playing as a whole.
