Req. To Enter- Level 10 DoL/DoH
- Some Crafting / Gathering Knowledge
- 4 DoL
- 4 DoH
This is how the Mini Game Work's, Any questions please ask, Any ideas on how to improve it it please Post.
After you reach level 10 crafting or gather put up you're party flag and search for a party of 8 people, After you have the full party enter into the event/mini. The people cant be more then 5 level gap or the XP will be killed.
When you enter into the event you will be in a room with 2 Boxes, A box for the crafter's and a box for the gather's. First thing is the crafters have to turn on there machines to get them warmed up for crafting while the DoL's go out and click on the tree's Pond or Rock to bring back the items to the room. When they return into the run they click on the box and that puts there items into the machines for the crafter's. Now the crafters have to go the right machines depending on there class E.G. WVR goes to a spinal, BSM to a forge and so on.
When the crafters have got to there machine and it has warmed up they have to craft the item without it breaking and trying to get as high of a quality out of it as possible. IF or when they have finished the item they take it and put it into there box and then they will received some xp for doing so. They can be creating anything at all from crafting tool's to hot lalafell pyjamas. The items they will be creating inside will all depend on what the lowest and highest level are when they enter. When the time is up the end will end and everyone will return to the room, Inside the room will pop a chest where the items the crafter's created will be inside and shared among people evenly.
While inside you will receive a party bonus for crafting and gather that will give you more XP pure action you do.

Of course then you have to take the market into account and people would be upset if they couldn't make a Pwnzage-hatchet axe with just their Blacksmith or Carpenter.
I think group-crafts/gathering could encourage people to at least participate it doesn't need to boost exp or anything.

However, a few concerns:
1) Some people like to semi-AFK-craft (just hit enter and not pay attention). What would be the incentive to start paying attention. I.e.: Significant XP gain versus doing on your own?
2) It may need to be a higher level gap or it would be hard to find people? As well as perhaps not restrict to 8 only. I would think 2-8 would be nice, with a bonus for more people. And XP gained should be scaled down individually.
This could be based on realism:
A small cottage-industry with 2-3 people making shoes, or a full scale restaurant with 8 people working busily.
In both industries there could be the master artisan (who would perhaps be level 45) as well as some journeymen (level 30) and apprenteices (level 10).
I can visualize it thusly:
An instance created. A small mill on the edge of a river. The DoL go out and gather some materials from the forest on the edge and bring it back to the mill. The carpenter puts it in the mill and makes some planks of wood. This is then given to the smith who makes a hatchet out of it. This is then deposited into a box and converted into points for everyone.
Content can scale based on level and quantity of people. There be no need for other rewards. But it COULD lead itself to a 'Shop Defense' mini-game in the future where there is a time limit and a certain number of items have to be made for customers before they get angry.
Yes, I see great potential ^.^. And me spending much time in such an activity.

Or maybe rate the gatherer on the rate and rarity of the items he/she finds, and rate the crafter on the speed and quality they produce.
It'd make more sense if this played into the villages as well. Not the cities necessarily, but the towns located in the maps in 2.0 with small guild houses.
Actually, I'd like to see exp bonus for gatherers and crafters pairing up in teams. A levequest where a Botanist supplies wood for the Carpenter to craft..

If items are fed into the machines correctly it can assist the crafter on a better item, or perhaps more room for error on the crafter side.
That way gatherers are still participating. and the crafter is focused on the machines running and the end product. Gatherers are focused on optaining and then infusing the raw materials.
Personally i'd like to see the gatherer's skill at placing raws into the machine give the crafter more room for error instead of a bonus to the end product. I belive this would make it more inclusive for everyone.
I Will do my best to try and keep the post alive by bumping it only when and if it goes quiet for more than 2 days
