Hardly, a bold assumption though.

It's not really a point of how quick one can recover their lost EXP, or even build a buffer for future losses based on strategic uses, it's about not wasting that time doing that.

I spent many years (Six for the curious) playing XI and PLD was my role 90% of the time. Even if the recovery of my EXP was speedy (and it usually was) it was still an annoying fact that I was losing EXP, not because I didn't think twice about my actions, but rather I was serving my duty to my LS in Dynamis etc.

There's nothing more lame than wasting time gaining back EXP you lost because you were helpful/useful. Not when you could be spending that time accumulating merit points based on your comment. Or doing other things like leveling other jobs etc.

I probably play XIV more than I should, but even I agree that exp loss is a waste of time, I'm too old for that crap.
