You want an hardcore gaming experience, do this:
- Every time you die, delete your character and start from scratch OR drop all the gear you were wearing at the moment of your death.
Ain't that hardcore enough for you? And you don't even need the devs to code it as you can manually do it.

There, you have your "thrilling" death penalty. Don't force it on others that have a life and play casually.
