July 4th, unlike dozens of other holidays is intended to be celebrated with fireworks, drinks, the works. Whether people want to be idiots or not is another story, and there is nothing wrong with using a holiday just to get drunk.

Pretty much this. Denouncing booze and beer is pretty much denouncing what keeps civilization afloat and drove economies for thousands of years.

Although the day after thanksgiving is All Soul's day Right? That's a day of Mourning.

Isn't that the day after Halloween?

Halloween is a day of mourning too, thinking about it.
