Ironic thing about this is, this is mostly the people who hated FFXI that gives off this impression when most people who even refers to XI are generally telling SE to learn from their last successful MMORPG, much like Blizzard made WoW basically a potluck of MMO systems using Warcraft lore.



Like I said before, the forum community is more hung up on who posts a topic rather than what is being posted. Rokien said it best, if anyone else posted on this subject matter people would be having a reasonable discussion rather than automatically attacking the poster.

FFXI was essentially an Everquest clone, just with FF characteristics. Not saying that this game should be a WoW clone, nor that I am for it, but it really doesn't need to take ideas solely from FFXI. We're getting things like HNMs and open world primals, which is fine honestly.

Also, Rokien knows full well why people react the way they do. He's got the most absurd threads, and plenty of them.

But that's wrong. You said that instancing would ruin the entire game, and we're getting HNMs in the open world.

You've also stated that content finder will ruin the community (lol), and Yoshida advised that Content Finder is only for casual players, while hard mode runs will be for tight knit linkshells, etc.

.... hes going to try and make some of the open world be instance as well so that more people can use CONTENT FINDER. that's a different topic though.

Ya, I am. I don't think that's a bad thing though. I really want this game to be good, and I really want to like it when it's done.

If this game doesn't have all the things I asked for, I deemed this game a failure, and unworthy of a FF title.
