Now with that you will read about the new hubs being put in zones that will add a new slue of content aimed for the new players and they talk about other content in there as well and in the process of doing said content you will be leveling up because the purpose is to do something entertaining and to gain EXP. Also on top of that you will be leveling faster from 1-50 so said content will not be needed as much when you have several options of how to level and do stuff that is entertaining. Once you hit level 50 you can start the real content and not all of that said content necessarily classifies as "Endgame". There is going to be plenty of things to do for people though they are focusing on the group content first and foremost so that the people who been playing since day 1 of FFXIV will have something to do and when all the new guys hit 50 in a short order have something to do. Whether it is raising your new Chocobo in your buddy system or doing dungeons or doing the Crystal Tower or w/e content comes out at 2.0 release.

The point is they can now focus on content that all players will enjoy if the cap to that content is 50. There is no reason you cannot enjoy the r50 cap content over something that is r25 especially when everything you will be doing in 2.0 will probably give you good exp and you will level up quickly.

I guess I just have faith in FFXIV 2.0 and don't question their motives because so far what they have delivered and showing us what they plan to deliver is mind blowing. Complaining before you know what you are getting totally is kind of pointless unless you are just having a conversation of speculation for entertainment purposes.
Well, you're right. It's pointless to complain/argue about 2.0. And I do get where you're coming from in terms of faster leveling, but in my opinion that isn't necessarily the answer.

However, I wasn't talking about 2.0. I'm talking about the game the way it is now. Since they're having us pay for the game as it is now, I'm allowed to point out the faults that I find with it.

If they're going to add more content for 2.0 - and well, they will- then I say that's awesome! I can't wait!

Still... I wish I could display the same trust into SE that you do. I remember when I was in beta and how people thought it was going to get better when the game went live. Well, it didn't and here we are today. Sadly, SE has a bad habit of not delivering on their promises and when they do deliver it ends up as a bittersweet disappointment.

I realize that SE has been making good on at least some of the promises they made in regards to FFXIV. However, you can't fault me for a lack of faith. SE has done this to themselves through years of shoddy customer service and lack of player to company interaction and feedback. Essentially, they made their bed and now they get to lay in it.
