Why compare the difficulty of obtaining a FFXIV Relic with a FXI Mythic? They are not the same thing.

They are comparable. They're both endgame weapons seen as the most powerful weapons as they're class, and they both require long and arduous steps to get.

I didn't play much of XI but didn't the mythic come out much later than relic?

Mythic were the relic of ToAU needed to basically clear all ToAU content and get like 30,000 alexanderite which droped from salvage. It was just as difficult to get unless you grinded the ToAU content as it was released.

just wondering if XIV relic should be compared to XI relic and XI mythic compared to a future XIV weapon. It makes no sense to me to compare the XIV relic with XI mythic just because XI mythic was harder to get just so people can say XI was harder. XIV could get mythic weapons in the future that are harder than XIs... if any of that makes sense ><
