You get arguments that tell us to just deal with it, but why? For an attention hogging animation with no practical use, a toggle would be a fine option to those of us that don't want to see it without bothering the experience of those that do.
While choice is a lovely thing, I would first want to see what not seeing the jump animation while its happening would look like before I agree with a toggle to hide it. I mean if the character jumps but you don't see the animation, what WOULD you see? I find it hard to believe that it would be as if nothing happened (like now for instance, we have no jump... so would a toggle make it look like NOTHING happened at all? as in the character stays on the ground and no movement indicating an action was performed shows?) I mean imagine I jump over something, would a person with the toggle off just see me disappear and reappear where I landed? O.0" that would be odd as hell honestly.
