How about we, the playerbase, make suggestions and then allow the game developers to decide what is worth the resources or not based on player responses to suggestions.
Telling the game developers how to spend their resources isn't really a good idea since we have no idea what is going on behind the scenes.
I'm all for a /hide jump
The XIV forums don't work like that. Me and some other guys asked for an option to have higher quality textures in 2.0, and we got told we were wrong. How about we, the playerbase, make suggestions and then allow the game developers to decide what is worth the resources or not based on player responses to suggestions.

I've been shot down with this same excuse many times, and it gets old. It's unfortunate that we can't have a free expression of ideas without baseless claims overwhelming the logs. How do we even know what is worth the resources? How do we even know which team works on which aspects of the game and how much their current workload is stressing them relative to other departments?
blah
Also the rampant defense of Yoshida if you ask for anything.I've been shot down with this same excuse many times, and it gets old. Feedback is so important.
I dunno.
They fixed the whole server merger issue before it began, the dumb color coded stat bonus feature, and fixed and apologized for a misleading translation flub. And all because people on the forums spoke up.
This is the killer, even when he says it's broken or not what they had intended people jump to defend the broken thing because well ... I have no clue why people defend those things. I think it's absurd when I read, "I don't like the feature or how it works but I don't think anyone should open their mouths about it because we shouldn't give feedback." or "It's not a great idea but I'm all for supporting this thing i don't really want to see." or "I hate that but I think it should stay because I don't want to hurt someones feelings."
We don't need to bash what's being done ever but a bit of healthy constructive feedback should be encouraged not bashed for no reason.
Update: My Iffy get nothing night is going perfectly so far, wins no drops lol

Ok so I opened WoW for 30 min stood in front of the AH watched trade chat to see if there was any good pick up groups to join and while waiting around I noticed 0 people spamming jump. I did see people jump as they went up the stairs, which isn't even required but imagine that 0 people sitting there spamming jump.
Some people on this forum get worked up over nothing. Games that have jump rarely have people sitting there spamming it all day.
Nope, the ones that says people jumps all the time probably never played WoW or games with jumps, latest game with jumps is GW2 if you want to check how many ppl jumping around, only used to jump on obstacles.
I know right? Having no jump feature really worked out for XIV for SE.
Oh wait the game got
4.0
4.0
4.0

people who can't stop whining about adding jump are the exact people who are holding the game back
