How do you miss any of those things by rushing to 50?

You can be powerleveled right out the door. Even if you do leves till at least 10 (which is only 2-3 leves) you can miss quite a bit. You don't even have to go to SS if you're getting powerleveled so the only reason you'd ever touch there is for seals or gil farming. So you'll miss the immediate purpose of it versus going there for farming.

3 & 4. done every side quest in the game possible even at 50 u can take the exp on any job just make sure u change before you complete the quest.

They have levels listed for a reason, as that was designed for that level range which is why none of them are immediately accessible till you hit said level and beyond, though doing it at 50 will trivialize it. Also, switching classes reduces the overall reward greatly the higher the reward is, so if you do the main storyline quest and gain 30k+ xp, that'll be chopped down to less than 10k depending on which class and level you switched to. That's not at all the purpose of it, so it's not that you'll 'miss it' altogether, you'll miss the point of it by doing it the second you hit 50, rather than as you go.

I'd have more fun doing a level 35 quest (Recomended bring 3 members) than just walking to it at 50 and demolishing the monsters.

SE did NOT promise any new content during this time/for this event. What SE was saying is that they were giving folks with inactive accounts a chance to come back and see the new in-game changes. The 'once in a lifetime' comment was referring to the 7th Umbral era stuff that is already in the game but that won't be in game any longer if they wait to re-sub until 2.0 lands. Never was 'new' content/events promised in their description. I'm sorry you mis-understood this and then created pages of rants...

I was 50 well before SS was even released and i still went there to check it out and see what was in there. its no different than caseopea hollow or mistbrard cove anyway so who cares if your in a western cave and eastern cave or a southern cave, theyre identical. and you still never mentioned how one misses the UI by Plvling????
Have you seen the quests? theyre all the same... kill 5 crabs, kill 8 flowers, kill 10 puks, its rinse and repeat. plus there are no gathering or synthing sidequests, and having all jobs at 50 kinda limits how easily i complete them, so change job to whatever is closest or above the recommended level for completion and take the free exp.

Personally though, I've always felt that the game would've been better if we could create more unique characters; being able to customize them through abilities etc. And not everyone being every class on the same character. This bugs me more than all the content complaining that fills the forums.

Campaign got a friend of mine who said they would never pay for FFXIV to start paying for their legacy status.

if you can't do the new boss your just a failure it's easy. Your just like a little kid whining and crying about drop rate get better at the game and maybe you can get some drops?

SO where is this once in a lifetime content? the battles that have been here since 1.21?? The Raids that have 1/1000 chance of dropping anything worth wearing??? the new Primal that no one fights cuz its "too hard" and no one wants to bother doing cuz anyone who wasnt too stupid or proud got all the items they needed/wanted from it?? I wonder how many people actually came back to check it out, and how many of them are impressed enough to stay

Where in that staement did i ever say i couldnt beat anything. i put "too hard" in quotes for a reason, to EMPHASIZE THE SARCASM. still managed to go over your head though. Bravo
