    Welcome Back Campaign Fail

From May 9 to May 20, former FINAL FANTASY XIV players are invited to experience the vast changes made to Eorzea for free!
During this ten-day period, we invite holders of inactive service accounts to experience the once-in-a-lifetime Seventh Umbral Era content and try out new additions like the job system and the inn rooms that were introduced in Patch 1.21.

SO where is this once in a lifetime content? the battles that have been here since 1.21?? The Raids that have 1/1000 chance of dropping anything worth wearing??? the new Primal that no one fights cuz its "too hard" and no one wants to bother doing cuz anyone who wasnt too stupid or proud got all the items they needed/wanted from it?? I wonder how many people actually came back to check it out, and how many of them are impressed enough to stay

... right, because the people coming back via this campaign are all level 50 players who can experience the endgame content that half the forum is griping about.

I would expect the majority of these players are enjoying the new combat system, the job system, the new quests, and the grand companies.

considering the last thing that was added that wasnt "endgame" was Sposhae or totorak, and that its "welcome back" inferring you have played before, im thinking most of these people have at least 1 50 job already, or if they dont they are going to be stuck because 99% of the people i know have all 50s or at least 4-5. I got one of my friends to come back and there was no one to help them for AF quests because anyone who actually plays the game regularly got them all done within the first couple days they were released.

you must keep a tight circle then.

Most people I knew quit before they ever reached 50. The grind was way too tedious even half a year ago.

Hamlet in its current state is pointless as well unless you gather 10 hours a day to make the top 20. and even then you still only get dark matter and fireworks. the only real reason to do hamlet is if you NEED anima. which you probably would if u gathered 10 hours a day porting back and forth to store all the crap u gathered.

how would you manage not to speed off to endgame when you can get 2-3000 exp per kill with chain bonus rested bonus and food bonus? if you dont manage to get at least 1 job to 50 in a week then you only play like 2 hours a day and you will probably leave to play another MMO when that comes out anyway. I've Played since beta and have all battle classes to 50 and i play 6 hours a day and the only thing that i do is craft ( but dont make money cuz i cant get a spot in the uldah wards despite the mercantile houses) and do about 10 AV and CC runs a night which if we are lucky we get 3 DL pieces a week. I still play because of the time i have invested in the game already and i want to see it get better. but if these people are coming back that means they left because they didnt like the game when they played it, and i dont see much in the game here that would change my mind enough to get me to stay

just because people can get to 50 in a week doesn't mean they will, even if they play 6 hours a day. Some people actually enjoy playing content at the level it was intended for.

Or, you know, questing, crafting, exploring, trying out other jobs, etc etc.

This game doesn't have to be a race to get to 50.
