why do people care so much about the class system? Bard is a ARC with 5 new spell it still play as a ARC it still have a bow still have the same rules just 5 Spell that make it better then class for doing full party events. Like the other jobs just have 5 new spell which make it better for party.

How many topic do we have to make before people understand that class=solo / low manning and job= party? people who want to solo can play class people who like party can play jobs. But for some party event class are still better like ifrit i wont go as drg i like to go as lancer due to the fact that i live longer and can get people up if they die + i can heal and stoneskin myself if the other whms fail to do there job.

For a lot of the jobs the classes become pretty much obsolete when you get them, even for solo. As for the LNC/DRG example I think that's more of an issue with class balance around that battle than job mechanics. All things considered it really is the worst fit for that fight.

I hadn't really considered the PvP aspect of classes, to be honest, largely in part because I haven't really touched them since 1.21. That'll be really interesting to see how it plays out whenever it's patched in.

Jobs mostly out shine classes in any content whether it be low man or whatever. For low man all you really need is a war and whm and you "should" be good for most things.

Yes but a DRG is still a lancer a monk is still a pug i don't understand the hate of the job system. If warrior can solo better then jobs then why not just play war? why do people hate the job system if they still playing the class they love? we ask for them to release drg,war and the real name of the class sense beta we never like the idea of pug,thm,lancer. It's like everytime SE fix something they want fix there people who come out and dislike the idea and bitch it's like don't like it? then deal with it the game can't be for everyone.

The point is job are class at the end you still playing your fav class so why do you care so much about being class a Lancer over being a DRG? you still a dam lancer with just 5 added JA which help and limit you but still. Lancer can solo a DRG does not have much healing sure some jobs are better at soloing like warrior vs mrd so just play the dam warrior lol who still a mrd at the end of the day.

We don't want them better. But we want them. It's all about situation.
Example: You put together a party for a content where the endboss use a powerfull aoe, like a primal fight. You don't want to make the boring WHM, WAR, BLM setup. Now you have some jobs in the party with no sentinel. Would it not be better if 1 BLM change to THM for AoE Sanguine Rite?
You see? It's all about the situation.
