    I'm not being rude but if you interacted with the battle system is a very limited capacity then this post is not for you.

    The "meta" or "state of paralysis" as you say are buzzwords if you didn't interact with the battle system and understand why these problems exist and why the devs are addressing them with this shake up.

    As stated I am not saying we should stick to the current meta but I will miss it, I have spent tens of thousands of hours with it in six savage tiers and multiple ultimates, its something I worked at and perfected. But as I said I understand but that does not mean it doesn't hurt a bit. As I also said I am not a fan of the ARPG style they seem to be going for but thats personal preference and I am sad that my favourite game and autistic special interest seems to be leaving me behind.

    With all that said. There were many things that made current jobs special and unique dispite being forced into a 2 minute mold and the RNG and proc system of Bard and Dancer is one of those. Its what the jobs are known for and a playstyle unique to those two jobs and I don't think it should be lost with this change.

    We can have this new system with two RNG jobs that reward fast decision making and fluid play as bard and dancer always have. If I wanted a static physical ranged without RNG or procs thats what MCH is. Let the other two keep their RNG for the people who love the gambling and the serotonin when they get a high roll.

    Once again please let me emphasise that feedback is vital right now and beg you to please understand what the feedback is saying before jumping into uneducated and unaware responses such as "meta defenders."

    And I am not hating on the thread, I am reacting to the "meta wasn't so bad". Its not invalid but dang the paint has not even dried yet.

    I am assuming that is to do with making jobs easier to play. After all, one would consider that there would be new players who would skip the pre-dt stories and jump directly into DT. Moreover, it would give them more flexibility in design raids.

    Taking away the RNG aspect that is a core part of bard's identity is not helping them design raids.

    As a big fan of what evolved mode can bring—what can I say I'm a pvp enjoyer—AND a BRD/rphys main, I'm sorry to say but I agree with the OP. Removing RNG and procs from the already endangered few remaining jobs that do have that, is literally a middlefinger to us. What's left after that? DNC? RDM? What if they remove that too? I'm doomed to play deterministic rotations? What did I do to deserve this? It's not like there isn't 20 other jobs that are fully non rng already, what's with the rng hate??

    So much this! RNG and procs are fun and there are 19 other jobs without it. If bards procs didnt last then I doubt dancer and red mage are safe. Taking what identity the jobs already had isnt the answer.

    I don't mind the 2 minute disappearing but I deplore the loss of team synergy as a whole. They have yet to show what will replace it. I'm curious what will set apart a team that plays well together from a team that doesn't. We only got a very small glimpse into the vision they had so it's hard to feel informed enough to give constructive criticism but yeah, doesn't fully inspire confidence right now

    This! There is a lot of skill expression in a party that synergies well together vs one that doesn't. I don't know what will replace it but some skill has 100% been taken away. A party should be rewarded to playing well together.

    I don't know if team synergy will be going away. There seems to be a lot of potential for certain jobs complimenting each other really well, even without raid buffs. It seems like the new jobs are going to have a lot of different strengths and weaknesses which I imagine will play into things. I guess we'll see. We'll probably need to see more of the job reworks to tell.

    That said, I'm not going to miss the 2 minute meta at all.
