Those designs are dull and lacking in fantasy? While good news is you have a ton of brand new t-shirts, jeans, flannel, jackets and shoes just like the ones you would find in Target, to choose from here in FFXIV lol

I don't think that gear looks good, no. It's a specific aesthetic for a specific style of game, and if it's what you prefer then maybe that is a game you could play.

There is similar gear in this game in PvP or for tanks but most of it is a little less inflated and thick, but still quite bulky or spiky.

To be fair, now that we have cross job gear, I don't see a reason for us to get 3 recolored gear sets across 7 gear types
It would be great if we could get one unique set per gear type, surely that's something small indie company can do, considering how rarely we get crafted/raid gear
