You can also only be one job in WoW. In XIV you can be all. So role-based gear helps with gearing up alt classes.

Huh? I’m not defending WoW right now, I’m defending human eye sight. How are you looking at those sets and saying they all look the same? They absolutely do not. Regarding colors, there are six colors for each of those armor sets. Four for PVE, two for PVP.

I’m not a wow fan at the moment, though I love their housing system (which is done way better than FFXIV, though they were heavily inspired by it). But you have to have on hate goggles to come to that conclusion, or poor eye sight. If it’s the latter, I apologize if I offended.

One time there was a junior graphics designer who was tasked with making abyssos armor and weapons alone, because muh small indie company no resources pls understando.

He did a great job, so yoship had to fire him. I hope he works in a better company that values his skills and creativity.

I don't think its a hard ask for at least one more Artifact Set per expansion and I'm kind of surprised that people are missing the heart of the suggestion and defaulting to "WoW bad". The last job specific gear we got was back in July of 2024 and probably won't see another one till late 2026 to early 2027. They could even put it at the end like the final upgrade to the expansion weapon system to reward people that stuck with it and give them more of a head start for whatever comes next.

To play devil's advocate, they pump out cash shop glamour all the time why not toss some job specific stuff a bone and just sell it.

It's not just for this patch, all crafted weapons this expansion have been undyeable for some inexplicable reason.

The 1st and now 3rd crafted set even have unique models, the 2nd crafted set just reused the Palaka weapon models but neither of them are dyeable.

*edit* okay, the first crafted weapons are actually dyeable, I was incorrect. The gold on it is just undyeable and takes up such a big part of the weapons that you barely notice when they're dyed.

Thats square enix's fault, not the dev teams though. They'd rather focus on ai and other garbage flavor of the month for shareholders

Blizzard pretty much completely relegated their customer support to AI, it's nearly impossible to have your issues to be heard and addressed
