Maybe I know what people want.
ORIGINALITYWhich is not obtainable by merging many worlds into one with different characters.
Personal feeling
Personally? I don't like this idea.
Argument supporting my feeling
I don't want to see a world with many characters from different Final Fantasies, because that would ruin its originality, and surely recycling the same things to put in another white paper isn't going to appeal to Final Fantasy fans. They liked Final Fantasy for how unique, dramatic the story is, for the originality put into creating monsters and characters. Think about a Final Fantasy: The Unending Journey book, where all the Final Fantasy games, from 1 to 14 can be written inside, so people can read them. Now that's what I would like to see.
PROs
CONs
- It will teach me the characters of the older Final Fantasy games, who they are all those things.
- For older Final Fantasy players it will be a good hit of nostalgia.
Conclusions
- Unoriginal, unlikely of Final Fantasy.
- Many worlds in one would mean many storylines, would mean many roads to take and to think as a development team, would mean creating an RPG Dissidia style, which wasn't that acclaimed from what I got.
- Would not even have sense, unless you put something like a World Transfer machine that Cid creates and put characters in it, transferring them into this new world, pretty lame idea if you ask me.
The idea can be done, but I have my doubts the Final Fantasy fans will like it, and from my point of view, because of its unoriginality it would teach the new players all the good things of Final Fantasy in the worst way possible. If a new player wants to learn about Final Fantasy, it'd better play the previous titles.
