    Keep in mind the father of Final Fantasy left SE and formed his own game company, so certain aspects would change. Myabe that's why the old style feel of FF was present in Lost Odyssey, a t least emotion iwise in the characters and story.

    Some players prefer different FF style then others.

    THe more futuristic FF has no apea l to me. While the old world play does.
