If you get jumped in Frontline, your chances of survival is slim no matter what, unless you know your placement and am able to put walls between you and the enemy, that is the same scenario for anyone, everyone got the same advantage or disadvantage.I don't touch CC - not interested in it at all, so I have no opinion about purify change in CC.
In frontline you get 24 people on the opposite team that can cc you if you go in. When you have a few of them white mages and bards, your MP basically doesn't exist. So there is no purify to use.
MP removal has been the case for awhile, but purify change made it just more annoying.
Additionally 2s is basically a gcd, and when I play on JP or NA - it's quite painful. In the past you'd be surprised how good I managed to survive even vs 10 rouletters. Obviously if it's in qsync - there is no chance to be so out of position.
Refer to divinemights summary of what's wrong with it - I agree with everything they said. If you play a melee these days in frontline you basically choosing to play on hard mode for no reason, which is sad.
Regarding git good - I have over 1k wins in frontline cumulatively, and been playing it for years on different accounts and data centres. I think I am alright as a player, but obviously can always get better. And some classes I am just downright terrible at because I don't enjoy their playstyle.
I really only play for fun - and if I am not having fun, I am good to not play the game. Which is sad, but it is what it is.
Deal with it.
