I have a lovely bridge to sell anyone who actually believes this. These items were never intended to be in game in the first place as the main development team doesn't work on the cash shop. As has always been, and will always be, the case.
If the shop didn't exist, their positions wouldn't exist and nor would the exclusive sets we see there. The most they really 'do' with the main game is tell YoshiP and the actual item team what their plans are so they don't conflict.
The really only indefensible thing is that NPC outfits, hairstyles, past events items, mounts of previous in game things, etc. get put on the shop when they absolutely should be in game rewards.
The unique things made by the cash shops item production team, however? Its whatever to me. I don't feel people should get mad over the fact a premium item that was made by a team that isn't even directly working on the game and its patches is sold for money.
Its kind of a nothing-burger when you know how the shop is set-up, funded, staffed, and has been run since its introduction in 2.4X
One could make the argument that they should just close the shop and bring those staff members onto the main team, but then we'd sacrifice concerts, infrastructure updates, fanfests, etc. as those are the things the shop funds.
People have been asking for Omega M and F hair for years, people wanted Galatea's outfit for years now too... so....
Guess where you will be able to get it soon...

Does anyone else feel weird about this though? I mean hear me out.
We pay for our subs monthly, SE claims that this ongoing content is part of our sub. The event ends, and the items go immediately up on the store.
Isn't this just a way to scam players into paying for content they already paid for a second time? (or unlimited in some instances). Even worse don't they make the items untradeable so that they make individual characters have to buy them? And aren't they ususally not account wide?
Idk man that seems like one hell of a scam to me. I've done it in the past so im just as guilty as others but after actually thinking about it in Endwalker I stopped all purchases on the mog station.
I personally feel like these event items need to cycle (keeps it fresh) and they should always be obtainable in game given you are there for the event.
Like imagine how much more fun events would feel if you had items to farm since ARR. Idk I feel like that would be pretty fun and it would give players more to do, which the game currently really needs.
Those cars were nightmare fuel. The kitty mounts they had there were fairly cutesy, though.
Ohh, alright. He looks funny though. Not the best out there but at least it's not a poster...
I'm mostly talking about the fact that we had 3 mogstation items in the last 2 months, plus one every month before that for a long time now. I haven't even looked at the datamined items, but I don't doubt that they're out there, and that they're for the mogstation.
I like how this person thinks our money goes directly to anyone in the CU3
Man, I am so tired of them using this model. They just put another recolor of it in the Mogstation not too long ago too. And they refuse to stop using the mandragoras in maps. I'm over them.
