More Mog Station Items? Seriously?

So some stuff was datamined and people are already complaining because of speculation that they'll be mogstation items?

Since they've taken steps to ensure any glam from Mogstation or seasonal rewards can be put in the armoire, it's not a wild speculation to say at least 2-3 new glam sets listed in Garland Tools are very likely to show up in the shop. Specially when they seem very "unrelated" to the content that we're getting this patch, this kind of stuff typically shows up there.


Unless we're getting yet another Rhapsody event or Noctis wants to take another selfie with us, the next seasonal event is likely to be Starlight, for which are two emotes listed and a handful of housing items. This is all public information in Garland Tools.


So yeah, unfortunately, those complaining may be onto something here.

They are probably bringing this up because of the datamined items that are very likely mogstation only.
The $24 cat mount and poster just happened to drop today as well.

I'm mostly talking about the fact that we had 3 mogstation items in the last 2 months, plus one every month before that for a long time now. I haven't even looked at the datamined items, but I don't doubt that they're out there, and that they're for the mogstation.

Yeah but we would get more complaints like some old event rewards are single-player locked already too.

TBH, I haven't bought the belt-leather set or new cat mount, but cash shop exclusive items exist for being sold in the cash shop's sake. It's either buy it or not; it wouldn't exist as an extra reward in-game.

Do I wish we had more in-game rewards? Yes.

Am I aware that if we didn't have the cash shop, we wouldn't have cash shop-only items? Yes.

The mount is admittedly the coolest mount to be added in the game.

But I refuse to buy it. Stop putting so much emphasis on the Cash Shop, CS3. When updates take longer and and the playerbase is dissatisfied, this is very gauche.

I don't know why this would surprise anyone. If anything, I'd be more surprised if they didn't release anything on the mogstore every few weeks.
