I'm not shaming anyone into fashion personally I love fashion and dressing up my character but also have Ultimate clears and bis gear. I liked the combat of the game so I practised and mastered it dispite my disability, its never been easy but I didn't want adjustments just for me so I put in the work.

I have an issue with people who obviously dislike combat commenting that combat should be easier just to suit them because they don't want to die. Not every encounter will be a one pull clear and it shouldn't be.
In WoW, a tier 1 Delve is easier than a world quest it’s nowhere near dungeon difficulty. I run tier 8 without issue, but that’s exactly the point... difficulty isn’t universal. What’s easy for me might be hard for someone else. So why shame others for struggling with something you personally find simple? That mindset helps no one.

Also, nobody said they “don’t want to die.” What people are saying is they don’t want to be a burden to the group and risk toxic backlash, so they use Trusts. The issue (the whole point of this thread) is that Trusts aren’t doing their job properly. If you die, it’s a full restart, and the AI healing isn’t reliable enough for some players.

If Trusts are meant to support older, slower, or disabled players, then SE should at least implement something like a heart counter. die twice, and the fight resets instead of after one death. It’s not about removing challenges for those who enjoy it, it’s about making the system (Trusts) actually work for the people it’s meant to support.

And for those saying “It’s an MMO” yeah, sure, it is. But FFXIV rarely leans into that fact outside of high-end content. So why is it suddenly so important that the "MMO" be enforced for players who just want to experience the story? I play solo 99% of the time. When I do a duty, I say “hey” and “bye,” and that’s it. That’s not exactly peak MMO. Honestly, I think the traditional "MMO" has long passed. These days, MMOs are mostly “find a group for hard content > clear it > go back to solo play.” FFXIV has embraced that hybrid model for years.

    This.

There is a definite attitude of "I have cake, so you can't be hungry" in some of the responses in this thread.
