The point is when does it stop? When you get invincible mode? Then what about people whose fingers fell off and they can't hit W do we then get a fully automated visual novel dungeon system?
Someone mentioned WOW follower dungeons and delvs but they still have mechanics and deaths like any trust dungeons. People in here want everything fine tunned for specifically them and are using disingenuous examples to try and prove why they're right and deserve cheat codes.
Again - no-one is asking for "invincible mode". No-one.The point is when does it stop? When you get invincible mode? Then what about people whose fingers fell off and they can't hit W do we then get a fully automated visual novel dungeon system?

What many are asking for is something other MMO's have had as an option for years. Namely, like the MMO I played before FFXIV - it had 'Normal', 'Advanced' and 'Elite' difficulty settings for ALL content.
And again, player A choosing to play the MSQ on 'Normal' had absolutely ZERO impact on player B who played it on 'Elite'.
So what if "Normal" is too hard for someone?Again - no-one is asking for "invincible mode". No-one.

Having skimmed through all the elitist trolling garbage in this thread comments like this are supremely ironic.
This is basically saying "what if" the devs and company actually invested the bare minimum back into the game to make content for everyone and failed? Might as well not try at all!
Isn't that "I might fail so I won't try" the non sequitor the entire elitist troll community is hitting the casual base with? "You guys just don't want to try and learn!" Yet here you are, perfectly willing to let AAA veteran game devs off easy with the same "they might fail so don't even try" type rationale.
Maybe if the devs/company aren't able to design content for the average MMO casual as well as elitists they don't deserve to be paid AAA industry standard rates as a reward for failing to do so, and people apologizing for it by saying things like this are not helping anyone.
It is not that difficult to comprehend a need to design multiple tiers of challenge and ensure they actually function for the intended audience. If the devs fail at that or the company refuses to invest in that, it is on them.

Contrast this with solo duties in FFXIV in which, upon failing, one is confronted with "very easy, easy, and normal."
While it is clear that there are abysmally callous posters in this thread, the attitude starts with the studio.
I'm still waiting.
If one of the "git gud, braindead content, skill issue, you just suck" crowd can explain to me how they will be negatively impacted by a DS rez option, I would really like to hear it. Because in the absence of such an explanation... Hmmm. I'd get banned if I completed that thought and I currently have forum permissions for another 18 days.
Oh! Someone suggested NPCs rezzing would lead to botting. No idea if this is true, but if so, already asked and answered. I'd hate for anyone to think lazy casuals were "getting something for free," so make DS under this option a no-loot mode.

Whilst I agree with you, and have admittedly used those 'easier' settings myself several times, there is a stigma attached to using those that extends outside FFXIV. As demonstrated here:
