Does it make you feel better about yourself to repeatedly tell people who are struggling how "so easy" this game is.

My entire FC has quit because there is no option on MSQ dungeons for any easy mode; they simply cannot complete some of them with NPCs. Yes, one can be carried while eating the floor. Where's the fun in that?

The fact you note the biggest asset in this game is the people while simultaneously making poisonous comments really sums up what is wrong with this "community."

    Unbelievable.
The game is so easy that making it easier would be equal to just watching someone playing on youtube, is what I meant.
I can't believe people have quit the game because of how "hard" the MSQ is. Unless they were forcing themselves to clear an Unreal fight, which is meant to be challenging.

I've actually helped a lot of people get through the game. You see, the game has no Spanish translation, which definitely makes the game less accessible to Hispanics. And the English used in the NA translation is just to hard for the average non native. People wanted to play it, and actually could when I sat down to explain the basics of their role. You could argue we're in the minority, but I can assure you we're as big if not more than the older generation group, and not less or more important. But that is a different matter. The fact is, with a simple explanation, or my help they were able to understand the game and still play to this day.
What the game needs is a freaking useful tutorial, and actual mentors, not the kind that play just for the icon.
People are only now finding out you can get an enrage in Unreal due to a lack of overall party damage. That is not a difficulty issue, that is a lack of A) Tutorials and Explanations, B) Understanding of the game's content/mechanics.

I'm just tired of watching this game get simplified because of comments like this to the point of becoming extremely boring.
If the team only worked on like making a "Easy mode" for a single person, then fine. But what I've seen over the years is that they take posts like this as the majority complaining.

Fortunately I can still find poker games where my presence doesn't increase the average age of the table.

As an old-head gamer myself, this is probably one of the most relatable posts ever, ngl, lmao. xD

Please stop saying how easy the game is, it is plain rude.

Many people find MSQ fights easy. Many others find them hard to the point they quit.

What this game needs is difficulty options to keep everyone happy. Y'know, like normal MMOs.

    Some truth in it though.

The MMO I played before I discovered FFXIV had Normal, Advanced and Extreme difficulty options for the MSQ content, which caters for pretty much any skill level.

I've died like 5 times on that second boss. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I'm gonna take a break from it and try again later. I'm only pushing 40, but some of those mechanics were just too fast for me.

Anyway that's my feedback and people will make fun of me forgetting that I am not them.

Anyway, I hope you guys luck in your next attempt.

Also, I can't tell y'all how much it warms my heart to have seen so many of y'all offer to help them clear. I'm passing out up doots to all y'all that offered. Y'all are so sweet! ❤️

This is an MMO. When I needed help, many kind strangers raised their hands and guided me. It's only fair we return the favor when we can!

Yeah, I saw the same thing happen to WoW for years. It's too late for FFXIV at this stage honestly.

There is so little friction in 99% of encounters, that the only time I die or suffer a set back is usually when I'm engrossed in second monitor content. Which is most of the time when I'm going through a dungeon nowadays.

I said this to a friend the other night but I can see them erasing the trinity system entirely within the next few years, for most content, with tanks and healers being purely optional outside of the 1% of content that requires you to get your hands sweaty.

It's not a case of wanting things extremely difficult. It's a case of wanting old mechanics to matter in a way that you're required to pay attention, or that you can be penalised for not being very good at the time, or not trying, or not abiding by the mechanics at all. When you can senselessly button mash through so much of the content... eh. People do not want to improve. They want the content dumbed down. It's a game, so 'relax, guy'. "Why should it impact you if I want difficulty modes, or want the game easier??" People have and will continue to ignore that poor implementation of difficulty modes has an impact on not only a specific kind of design philosophy, but that it can leak into everything else.

I'm at a point where I feel new players might as well be able to skip older content entirely. Because it does very little to teach, or engage, or attempt to god forbid, present even a slight challenge.

I watched a video before work until the part that kept killing me. I know I was pressing interject, but I wonder sitting here at work if Interject isn't on my bar? Because I moved a few skills around and I haven't played long enough to be a returner. That's the only thing I can think of because I was spamming it the second I knew I could interrupt it, but I still got the debuff and died to the third slash. And it took me 5 deaths and a shower to figure that out and I'm ashamed of myself, but when I get home from work I'm teabagin that boss when I'm done with it.
