Imagine your underage child playing a game (FINAL FANTASY XIV is rated T for Teen by the ESRB with Alcohol Reference, Animated Blood, Language, Suggestive Themes, and Violence.) and they get a shout promoting an ERP 18+ Club/Party House in game, only to go to one of those places and get bombarded with advertisements to questionable websites for services in a suggestive nature.

Better yet, imagine being the adult trying to pick up an underage teen's character. Or the adult promoting it in a /shout in a main city.

I have no problems with peoples lifestyles, but FFS find another way to promote it that isn't in-game. I have a big problem with potential minor exploitation.

Then you misunderstood me I think.
I'm against the erp adverts and I want SE to take actions against it especially now that everyones Mute-List will be reset.
+18 Adverts shouldnt be allowed in any way imo and people participating in that kind of roleplay should instead advertise it on third party websites, discord servers ect.
Unfortunately the Entertainment Software Rating Board is only for NA and sadly if im not mistaken the only age rating company that doesnt rate community created content like the erp nightclubs.

I opened a thread about this half a year ago but it ended up in it felt like 90% of the people defending those adverts and making fun of me for thinking it shouldnt be allowed in a 12+ rated game. https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/...s-this-allowed
