Feedback regarding the measures taken to the blacklist functionality in 7.3

SE, please rethink the decisions made for the blacklist/mutelist changes in 7.3.
I personally dont want to see the inappropriate shoutspam in all major ingame cities again after spending months filling my mute list with club ad spammers.

If not, at least update your ToS and do something against the inappropriate content advertised in shout chat.
Community created content counts towards the age restriction rating in most countries.
Nightclub prostitution roleplay and a age restriction of 12 in my country doesnt really fit together.

Blacklist will be pretty much unchanged for the most part. The mute list will be reset and on a per-character basis instead of accountwide.

I think it's being reset primarily because of the comments feature which could potentially allow people to still identify alts, or at least that is their belief.

I can't relate because I simply don't hang out in Limsa or pay attention to adverts. You can most likely find some common keywords and block those via term filter though.

Is it really worth reseting everyones mutelist because of some snowflakes wanting to keep their creepy double life in an fantasy mmorpg? I dont get it.
The half-baked term filter is by far not good enough to filter out all the cringe adverts.

Yes its worth it. But you should blame Square for their incompetence to introduce the new blacklist how they did which results in such a mess.

Yes it, you're just far too apathetic to understand why it's a stupid choice to allow this to persist in the first place.

That being said, this is entirely on the developers for doing an insufficient job that is barely worth the effort of someone doing a Level 3 diploma in IT. It's definitely more than just "Some snowflakes wanting to keep their creepy double life."

I don't RP, never will, but I have to ask you, how is this the players' fault? Why blame the players when Square made it like this?
