They are never going to force people to do OC for the relic, that is why the provided options to obtain it outside of OC. Every future step is going to offer multiple ways to obtain what you need to upgrade the weapon. Also, the atma grind and range was atrocious. No one should be expected to do that for every single weapon they wish to obtain. The tombstone exchange is a compromise for after completing it once. I don't know why so many of you want busy work which is waste of people's time.
