Fact is that tanks and WAR at the top are completely dismantling OC right now, be it in a party or solo.
DPS struggle with survivability, Healers struggle with being more or less being redundant because tanks don’t need them and they are only there to raise dps.
Tanks get damage bonuses there everywhere whereas defense bonuses are hard to come by.

While I don’t struggle on DPS even I can see that they have a much harder time in this content.

You're dead if you pull a chimera without mitigation no matter which tank you're on. The firemen are a bit safer but the wild charges still hurt, and mass pulling on that level is the best gold farming method I'm aware of. It's very clear that being dead means you're doing no damage. It's also very clear phantom jobs do not scale normally for most of their actions, and that cannoneer specifically is doing the bulk of heavy lifting in gold farming parties.

Broadly tanks do have a vastly easier time in OC and I have absolutely no idea why the mastery bonus doesn't also raise defence, there were rays of fortitude that raised max hp in zadnor which bringing here would at least acknowledge the issue. They could make it so the tank mastery damage down applies to the OC actions too, but that's not really going to make too much difference, dps dying due to lack of healing and the soft incentive to let people deathloop to farm raises for the achievement doesn't help their damage output.

Healers do get to enjoy healing mounting damage from the permavulns though
