You don’t miss whole stages of combat if you’re not raiding on day one. This is supposed to be community content but how can I feel part of a community if it’s already complete before I can even make time to play?Thats like complaining not being able to raid day one because you can't play on release date.
This content is available from lv10 you can play NOW.
We don't have a single buildings yet and if it took a day or more to build a transportation it wouldve been miserable....
The reality is it's not community content at all.
Do I feel part of the Adamantoise "community" if we fill a progress bar faster than Faerie? No, I'm just more likely to be asleep when something significant happens.
Is there a "community spirit" in the construction and gathering areas? Not at all. DoL don't have time to chat even if they wanted to, the gaggle of crafters is indistinguishable from the Shaded Bower other than it's far uglier, and people running around pressing their one button in the FATEs is just a bit sad.
But that’s the thing the moon has FIFTEEN stages and even aether’s busiest servers are barely halfway through stage 3. That means there is 12 more “progression fates” for the moon
Do people really think it can be balanced that every person can attend every one of the 15 40 minute fates
Doing anything in cosmic right now is contributing to your servers progression. I’m not sure how people expect singular contribution to feel meaningful in server wide progression
As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.
I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess
It was SE's job to do that or just not have server progression in the first place after being told how much missing out on progression events sucks in the last one.But that’s the thing the moon has FIFTEEN stages and even aether’s busiest servers are barely halfway through stage 3. You haven’t missed out on being able to progress, go progress now. There is still 12 more moon stages.

Which is something they even acknowledged during the LL, saying that it wouldn't be an issue with this.
The fate is a fate like any other, only takes 10x longer. Progression "event" takes 10 seconds and consist of camera moving around the base. If anything, it's extremely anticlimactic.
Would it be cool to see it? Sure. I just think it's bizzare that people are so up in the arms about it.
It's just basic Fomo. It would've been better if it was tied to the person and not the whole. But it had to be the way it is. They should be mad that as content, it's boring as shit. I don't care that I missed setting up the teleporting. I care that it's just gambling at the end of the day. It's a thinly vailed Golden Saucer but tied to crafting and gathering. At least the Diadem had character. This is just leves with extra steps. The fate is a fate like any other, only takes 10x longer. If it was tied to your personal progress, people would cry it's not "community content" as was advertised. It would be Doma, but with actual work not just giving money. It's just basic Fomo. As for content being boring - if someone spends 7 hours grinding it (yes, I saw posts like this), sure they would get bored very quickly. Personally, I just added it to my daily "roster", which includes other activities. This way I'm not getting burned after two days.
But crafting/gathering is not for everyone. So if it's not your cuppa, then you will not have fun doing it.

I like gathering. But I hate leves. So, for me, the Diadem is still 100 times better. It's an actual zone that has mounts, and when you fill the bar, you get to bazooka enemies and get more materials. It's just night and day.If it was tied to your personal progress, people would cry it's not "community content" as was advertised. It would be Doma, but with actual work not just giving money.

Crafting is never going to be fixed for me. I've always hated it. Too convaluted for too little gain. I like being able to craft things for myself like gear and glamor, but the stat caps and the min maxing of it all turned me off it completely. Now I just keep them to 100 and get my master books and 100% NQ glamours and go on with my life. Once I got to master crafts, I knew I wasn't going to get gold rank anymore and just kinda gave up.
At the end of the day, I've set myself up to get the rewards I want, and then I'm abandoning it until new rewards come out. I don't care about relics unless they look cool, so I'm really just cred farming.
