Critical missions are so overtuned that it makes the rest of the content obsolete aside from some tool xp drops. I got more tokens in 20 minutes of critical missions than 2 hours of fishing.

Critical missions only give major amounts of currency, they are barely better than any stellar mission you can do at any time for research progress
