If I am really honest about it, then I have to say that it is not really much 'interesting'. And I don't like the long ways to run instead of mounting. Stage 3 thingis still let us run a lot.

I am a person who enjoys farming in general, but for me the progress is a little bit slow. And I am no big fan of the rewards.

Only the mount got my interest but my rng especially in FF14 is always really really bad. That's why, after so many many years I really hate rng in FF14. Can't remember when I had last times 2 rows in that weekly book. Even 1 row is something I rarely see. It's really very frustrating.

To get the mount we can just rng gamble. Or rng try to be pilot and then rng gamble. I am tiered of rng in FF14. It's mostly against me. :')

The entirety of Cosmic Exploration is Hardcore content for omni-crafters and gatherers. It's not casual in any way, shape, or form.
What the heck are you talking about? Everything up to B-rank is literally standard recipes you'll see in every piece of content. If you're failing at those, then you're failing integrally at casual endgame crafting period, or because you're too used to just copy paste macros instead of doing the rotation yourself.

I think the guy's just trolling. He's adamant that he's unable to complete D/C-rank fisher quests at level 97 despite being fully geared.

    After 5 days

    - mounts would be nice,
    - gatherer missions are ok, but the wait between them is horrible,
    - A rank crafter mission are once again scaled for bis pentameld people. I can't fucking achieve any of them (not even in bronze) with pentameld 690 right side and 720 (just melded) left side gear. Tools are 690 melded or 720 melded for a few classes. Maybe I'm just bad with their system, but I'm tired of relearning everything every expansion since they removed some skills, and added some other. I used to be able to do them in ShB, but since then, it seem I missed the memo. I'm also tired of having to go watch guides elsewhere. Is it too much to ask to have some playable tutorials for high lvl craft into the game. If people have to leave the game to learn to play the mechanics correctly, the mechanics are badly designed.
    - progress mission are a joke, go to 3 progress point, repeat ad nauseam for 15 to 30 mins depending of the number of people.

Me, I'm a casual crafter and gatherer. I enjoy leveling them. I enjoy using my crafter to make money. I enjoy using my gatherers to get mats for my crafter. I've never in my life done an expert craft. But I have the newest crafting and gathering gear. That's how I enjoy crafting and gathering.

Apparently, Cosmic Exploration is not designed for people like me. [...]
Amen to that, brother. Without being all bad, I feel like once again, SE missed the "for everyone" mark. This game continue to be directed to 2 demographics : the people that have 2 hours a week and the hardcore tryharder that wants to optimize everything. I guess letting people have fun with the content is out of the picture.

The base system is still the same. Crafting-Point efficient skills like Waste not II are amazing, innovation and preparatory touch are great, groundwork is used for damn near everything. It's an unreasonable expectation that you could leave for 2 expansions and every skill will be the same and you'd never have to learn anything new.

And as for "This should be for everyone" comment, it is. There's easy stuff for people who are the "2 hours a week" folks, and there's more difficult stuff for people who know what they're doing. Including "everyone" doesn't mean leaving more experienced crafters/gatherers out of anything challenging and giving them nothing to do after hours of gearing up. That's stupid. What are you locked out of, getting a cosmic tool? You only spend 2 hours a week on the game and 0 hours of it crafting/gathering so what are you going to use it for? It's like those people who spend 5 mil pentamelding their crafting gear, craft 2 items, and then wonder why they're always poor.

Edit: Not to mention red alert missions give rank IV research and are about as difficult as a D-rank so even that's an option.
