Ban premade parties in Frontline please

Because the social aspect of the game is gone?

I've introduced so many people to PvP by just saying "hey lets go do our daily Frontline roulette." And I'll run them through the ropes in the Wovles Den first, we'll giggle about seducing each other with Dancer LB in a duel, then go on trying to work together and fight some people.

But because we're part of the terrible premade boogieman, you'd rather have the four of us queue up separately, play with four different ideas about what's happening, rather than hanging out. Just because you don't want to interact with other people, either socially or through gameplay, doesn't mean the rest of us have to suffer.

Wouldn't premades matched with other premades be more social?

It's pretty clear premades are not going away, and while playing any game on VC is my idea of hell, I recognize some people enjoy it.

If we return to 70%+ premade win-rates, which I think is inevitable, the onus is on SQEX to address the problem. Whether that is through matchmaking, balancing premades across teams, or diminishing the oppressive effects of synched burst, that's for them to figure out.

Meanwhile, I think premades have a responsibility to approach the mode appropriately. Specifically, recognize this is a team mode, not a light party mode, and do everything they can to help their team win. This should be obvious, but many premades take a different approach. As such, they're violating the spirit of the mode in the same way AFKers are.

I thank you, Mr. Brand, for bring fresh meat new players into the mode. It pressures SQEX to give FL more love, and helps maintain a healthy population.

There's no easy programmatic way to distinguish "normal" premades from "toxic" premades, so you'd have to take a broader approach to handling the latter. One way is by compartmentalizing premades to their own matchmaking queue. I think there would be plenty of players to fill such groups, yeah it may mean you have to queue for a little longer than 2 minutes but it would make the mode overall more fair. Another approach would be to strip away some of the tools that toxic premades use - spamming waymarks, spamming sound effects, marking an ally as the leader.

What I would not find acceptable from the devs (but accusing you of this btw) is pretending toxic premades are just not a problem, or throwing one's hands up and saying nothing can be done about them without even trying.

Nobody here has a problem with people having friends or social skills. We have a problem with the game mode being unfair, frustrating and/or boring because of how people like you choose to act. You posted in anther thread how you loved grouping up with a DRK, dnc and two drgs and coordinating LBs to let the four of you kill 10 opponents. So, you're just another premader who only plays Frontline if you have a huge advantage over other players and is resistant to anything that could challenge you. I don't mind people being selfish like that, it's somewhat natural. But at least have the decency to not regurgitate accusations like your last paragraph here. It diminishes your integrity.

You certainly over exaggerate on the premade and acting like it is a world breaking issue for everyone in FF14 while it is not
For Korean, Chinese, and Japanese datacenter the premade is irreverent because they heavily play on framework of a "Commander"
Their randoms are highly participated and showing higher obedience to Commander style of Frontline gameplay
There maybe more European players willing to band together on Light, but it doesn't mean it is the same for every other datacenter
Light is only one of the datacenter and do not represent entire FF14 Frontline
You feel hurt because of premade also doesn't mean everyone else holds same feeling

Re: Sparta vs Persia, there are many in France still struggling with Agincourt. But that was a rather different situation to Frontline. More mud, for example.
