I think what this boils down to is that some shot-callers are completely oblivious to how annoying an overuse of chat and SFX can be, while simultaneously vastly over-estimating their ability to assess the current strategic situation. They were spamming their macros with sound effects. Literally 'Follow the waymark' x3, then ten seconds later 'fallback' x2, then ten seconds later 'Follow the waymark' x2, on repeat for the match. Often they would lead the whole team in one direction, then turn around and go back... then turn around and go a third directionmeanwhile no enemy or node in sight. And when people started to break away from the aimless group, they spammed their macros with sound effects again.
