    People only dislike PCT because it does more DPS than BLM. If BLM was the broken one, nobody would have an issue. Thoughts?

    The problem with BLM is that it is a risk reward job. You are always at risk of losing your AF / UI timer, losing Flare Star, losing Ley Lines uptime. These risks plus of course that BLM does not bring anything else than dps demands that it is always top dps. There needs to be a reward, not just the risk.

    It’s a good thing not to answer your enemies. I scarcely ever do. Perhaps Emily is more like me than I am like myself. Perhaps she would rather not answer her friends, even. She keeps it all in her heart.

    If a job demands itself as top DPS because of its design then it’s a badly designed job

    As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.

    I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess

    The reward is on par with top DPS. It's a heavy hitter, just not THE heavy hitter. It's a stereotypical mage. I for one am glad something else has the limelight for awhile, even if it is only in one niche bit of content.
