That’s healing agro
Even if you don’t include any of BRD’s buffs it’s still doing high tank level pDPS and tanks are 20-30% ahead of healers so you are doing something wrong if the healer is truly ahead on damage and not just generating healing agro
As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.
I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess
I didn't know healing could generate agro. Makes me feel a bit better.

Healing generates 1 aggro for 2 damage in ratio or something similar if I remember correctly. Heals over time have been however cut from aggro generation, one of the endless things they removed because players whined about it.
With all due respect - If you're being outdamaged by a HEALER as a Bard then the issue isn't the role, It's you or your play.
No healer comes close to dealing similar damage to Ranged Physical.
You literally need to be AFK to be outdamaged by a healer.
Recent Jeuno I did as a Bard - 22,931 RDPS on the final boss (I'm BiS geared)
Highest Healer = 10,194 (BiS Sage)
That's 55% less damage.

Holy...no thanks to walking casts. If I want to crabwalk, I'd play a healer/caster and slidecast away.

I don't think many people would mind casting songs or the occasional tool tbh. Which would change literally nothing anyway, imagine the outrage when rphys gets buffed to melee levels of damage after the addition of a couple of casts per minute...
Perhaps I misunderstood of course, but it feels to me people balking at the idea think of true hard casts on the filler or half the things... like casters are supposed to be (except SMN for some reason).

I mean, I’m not saying a ‘full-timer caster’ phys ranged would do much other than raise questions about the point of the role.I don't think many people would mind casting songs or the occasional tool tbh. I just feel like it’s much more difficult now than before to say ‘casting/healer is solely the domain of casters/healer’; especially considering we melee that have both casts and heals (SAM/MNK respectively. Reaper I think but idk how theirs works? Downtime usage only?).
Plus I mean, it’s not like there’s ever been an expansion where casting was exclusive to the caster/healer role, since there’s always been things like Bard’s (old) songs in ARR, PLD’s Clemency in HW, whatever that Samurai one is lol, etc.
And, naturally it’s purely personal opinion, but I wouldn’t have an issue with them adding long casts to certain abilities as long as they had a commensurate effect like a raise song or regen song or whatever. To me as long as the general ‘filler’ is instant then they can make whatever casts they want outside of that.
Or alternatively I’d say maybe something like putting ‘walking casts’ on filler but only during Paeon or [New Song], if they wanted a ‘best of both worlds kind of deal’. Or like a Gauss Barrel type tool for Machinist that makes [something] get replaced with a high potency attack with walking casts.* Walking casts can get used outside of PvP for people who like that playstyle, but those who prefer not to could cycle to either another song or cut it at 15s to minimise time spent casting? In theory anyway; naturally it would take some insane balancing to offer as a proper ‘option’.
*as an addendum I’m not sure was mentioned before, personally I left Dancer out since I feel like the ‘steps mini game’ and channelled abilities like Improvisation or that PvP attack (Honing something) already fulfills the same purpose a cast time would anyway. I’d love to see more steps with varied timers and effects or maybe more channeled effects for it like Improvisation. Like maybe a ‘Quick Step’ that only has 1 or 2 button presses on a shorter cool-down than Standard, with its own effect for the dance partner (movement speed maybe?).
