Makes me wonder if SE has metrics for this stuff, and they have evidence that more people saw, for example, Pixies to max rank, than they saw Sylphs to their max rank, so it pushed them to make future ones more like the former and less like the latter... though honestly Pixies are still my second favorite Allied Society after Omicrons, and Omicrons kind of cheat by being 5 or 6 species wrapped in one, so I wish they had taken the cues from the writing rather than the gameplay... if I have to hear about "inner abacus" one more time, I am going to learn if Pelupelu are an amphibious by trial and error...
The problem mostly lies in repeatedness. The best example is old Totorak or Meridianum, which were great to explore and figure out its different objectives the first time you ran through. Guess how it felt after a few runs and especially every time you got it in roulette?
It's not dissimilar with daily quests like societies.

The way to alleviate this is to generate less scripted systems that can surprise you (rogue lites do it the best), but not all content can be tackled within that lens, notably storyline quests like societies...

Clearly they’re so swamped with delivering high quality content for every player that they couldn’t dedicate the resources to making Allied Tribes fun. Right? Right?!

Can’t wait for the next super ultra infinite big time ultimate content that literally 1% of the playerbase will do, they should totally just dedicate everything they have to making more hardcore raids. Oh wait we’re kinda already there lol.

FFXIV has so much quality content to choose from! Allied Tribes. Savage Raids. Uhhh…club RPs?

Beast Tribes/Allied Tribes have always been what they are ... a way to obtain minimal amounts of XP, Tribal mounts and, at least at the beginning, crafting materials.

The many hours spent in the Sylphlands are a fond memory of: kill X quests, waiting for 15 minutes for the FATE to pop that gave you the thingy, collect Y quests and, most importantly, the "sneak around without being discovered" quests on a timer.

High quality content, not really. Time well spent though if you want a Tribal mount. Flying around in Heavensward on the Bomb Palanquin or the Sanuwa mounts was a mark of honor. Time well spent, at least until the age of Moogle Treasure hunts.

The XP received for anything except the ARR (and, possibly, HW - it's been years now) quests made the 10 minutes spent each day in more recent expansions an ok exchange. I don't remember the daily quests in <pick an MMORPG> as any more exciting or Fun!(tm).

This is gonna be a bit mean but it's disappointing how many people will defend the current design just because it's 5 minute of your time for extremely generous exp, and it almost makes me wish Tribes were max level only. Why are we defending vapid content because it gives you half a level? Mobile games which are supposed to cater to people with jobs and a life still ask more from you than Tribes, but somehow it's still a good thing that we can all have half a level for spending 5 minutes doing nothing?

Like don't get me wrong, everyone's entitled to their opinion, but surely catering content to people who feel like this is a great way to kill any form of content, no? Should we just remove the EXP entirely so we can talk about what's better for the game? Give everyone a daily potion of experience on log-in so people can avoid spending more than 5 minutes in a game they're paying monthly for?

Sorry. If you feel this way it's fine, I'm not angry at anyone here. It just brings me back to the idea of this apparently being an expansion where SE were going to try things, and it just doesn't seem like anything is being tried.

So I did the rank 6 quest today.

Pelu: Oh, the travel agency is going so well that we're overworking out guides. Do you know anyone that could help.
WoL: Oh, I don't know, how about the guys that kidnapped Wukkie.
Pelu: Jolly good idea. Lets spend 5 minutes looking for him, and then spot him.
    5 minutes later.
Kidnapper: Oh, we regretted everything, gave all the stolen goods back and went to jail. But Wukkie pardoned us. Now listen to my sob-story. But we'll work for you.
Pelu: No problem, I checked and everything from your sob-story has already been solved. Now you can work for me.

Think it was over in something like 5-10 minutes, just going from one NPC to the next. And again, all potential conflict was handled before hand or was never a problem that needed solving.

I had mentioned it previously, but I wouldn't mind if they added quests that involve fates back to the battle beast tribe, or even requiring to do dungeons fitting for the area.
So Dawntrail dungeons for the Pelupelu for example

One of the main issues I had with ARR back when I was doing those fates was how slow it took to get there, so often the fate would die before I could get there despite running around trying to get it to spawn. With flight, I think the issue isn't as bad even if you get barely any reputation points compared to what we have now (granted you can do a lot more of the daily quests) They don't even need it to be tied to specific fates like the ARR ones were, but any fate in general could count toward completion of the quest.

Not only would you be getting more EXP from the fate if you're purely doing it to level, but you'd also get gemstones and progress toward the shared fate system for that area for those that have yet to do it.

"Good, good. I sense a great deal of anger in you, young padawan. Nurture it, embrace it, become it. Come over to the Dark Side," said some random guy.

When a game feature remains stable over several years, players know what to expect. They look forward to the efforts and rewards and act accordingly. It's one of the things to do.

But it's not the only thing to do.

Personally, I'm not taken with Savage/Ultimate Raiding. If Square Enix were to cease all efforts on this, it wouldn't bother me. I've met players whose sole interest in the game was Omni-Crafting. They detested being compelled to enter Dungeon instances.

If you're fixated on "I want it to be better," you need to specify what "better" means to you. From your response, it seems you've never been interested in this type of quest, which is understandable.

If you're seeking something "new and exciting," you might look forward to the release of Cosmic Explorations. However, considering the track record of the past decade for "new and exciting," coupled with your evident disdain for the game as it currently stands, I wouldn't expect a departure from the likes of the original Diadem or Criterion Dungeons. Players don't typically seek innovation in a beloved MMORPG, or they only desire the innovation that aligns with their preferences.
