Edit: I am mildly surprised that someone has done an alliance raid let alone high end content without lowering the vfx from pink floyd concert to christmas tree.

To me alliance raid is more about the spectacle since it's pretty much casual content that can't be failed. Only content I really turn group vfx off for is ultimate raids and maybe savage raids(don't do savage raids much anymore since ultimate raiding is 100x more fun), but even then I'd prefer to play with them on as the game looks and feels way cooler when you can see everyone's abilities.

just tried out dragoon with bfx turned off and..... I mean, is this thread a joke? obviously the animations don't make sense without the effects lol. What an inane thread. You wanna see a "bad animation"? Look at chaotic spring with bfx turned off. But then suddenly it becomes one of the coolest animations in the entire game when bfx are turned on. This thread has to be satire, or you just wanted to show off your character's glam during cool poses with your ultimate weapon.

Normally I ignore your antics but since this concerns the original post and I don't want more of your typical misinformation spread here I'll clarify what was already obvious to anyone who can read above a first grade level.

The animation section in the original post concerns my issues with the character animations. I do not have any issues with the particle effects, so the particle effects are turned off to more clearly illustrate my points. While I do not usually play the game that way, during normal gameplay the character animations are still clearly visible through the particle effects and even if they weren't, hiding bad animations behind a particle effect doesn't excuse the animation being bad.

And for the record, nobody cares about a TEA weapon in 2024, just like nobody cared when you were on here trying to flex on people with a 2024 Weapon's Refrain clear that you got dragged through.

The animations aren't bad though, you just lack understanding of weight and power. You think that the character should be like, pushing and generating the force for the entire time, where the reality is you are accelerating a sharp and heavy spearhead through a target after putting inertia into it. The weapon does the majority of the work when it is set into motion. I always cringe when I hear people talking about power when they have no clue.
