I, too, play with a high ping. Yes there's a difference. But it's perfectly possible to play and raid with it. The only significant impact in PvE is really with weaving abilities and you can just single weave when you can get away with it to reduce the impact, or play jobs that aren't as weave-heavy.

Maybe, maybe not. But I wish people would stop 'assuming' that they are not well above average, or that everyone else can do what they do if only they have the right attitude.
I'm going if topic but I have met people who believe that you can achieve anything in life if you really want it enough. They meant anyone, they meant anything. I even challenged them with 'like you can be ground breaking 'Theoretical Phycisist' if you want? The next Einstein? And they said yes and I actually believe they believed it. I've met people who think that people can cure their own Pschozphrenia and Alzheimer's if you muster enough mental fortitude or whatever.

It could be everyone can be savage raider with a bad ping but I'm not convinced. I think some people (not that small a number, have only X ammount of time to practice, are at a neurological disadvantage, they can do it with help, but disadvantage like bad ping will be just that bit too much)

Some people just don't have what it takes to fly a fighter including high workloads for 8 hours and guarantee not to crash it at the end when landing back in the carrier even in bad whether. And there is a while spectrum of realities in between.
