I do not know why that one was blank. See posts above.

The rules are the case because they want new/low pop servers to have players so they lock them there (but they are very clear about this).
You can still raid on there if that's your intention (just DC travel to Light) but be aware they do it differently. They use fixed positions for each role with macro positions like JP does, so for example OT is always in same spot, Melee DPS #1 is always in same spot, etc.
You can meet NA friends by traveling to Materia but the ping for everyone there likely won't be good.

You can temporarily transfer to Dynamis while waiting for Aether to open up.
I honestly don't understand why they still lock Aether.
A lot of people aren't playing anymore, it should open up to the active players who want to play with friends

Since this mistake, they won't let me even go to Dynamis for 90 days; unless they are willing to help (they aren't according to phone support) I'm stuck on an EU server living in US until February 3rd...

If that's the case, then I don't understand why they couldn't at least move me 1) back to where I was only minutes before the mistake or at LEAST 2) to a low-pop server on my own soil...

You'll need to goto Light to do your rouls also unless your happy getting LoA and temple of Quarn again and again. Forget queuing frontlines unless it's best if peak times. Picking instances like ShB alliance is also and absolute no no except at the weekly peaks. Won't pop.The rules are the case because they want new/low pop servers to have players so they lock them there (but they are very clear about this).

Not really. Really good players can probably compensate but that ping makes a difference even in normal content. Played NA DC from EU for 3 years. I was amazed at the difference in "feeling". (Ping went from180/220to 60/80. Actually I had it in a DM. It was 190/265)
Side casting is especially variable. With a consistent ping it becomes natural.

I, too, play with a high ping. Yes there's a difference. But it's perfectly possible to play and raid with it. The only significant impact in PvE is really with weaving abilities and you can just single weave when you can get away with it to reduce the impact, or play jobs that aren't as weave-heavy.
