Being on the board of directors means that his interests are SE's interests, and SE's interests are milking this game dry so they can fund more failures. You know it's getting bad when even the FF7R series has started underselling. It seems to me that Yoshi-P's job should be to balance our interests against SE's interests since catering to our interests is how SE makes money. As evidenced by the fact that FF14 is still generating enough profit to keep SE afloat while they sink project after project that clearly do not cater to our interests.

It sounds to me like you enjoy the single-player experience more than group content? I mean... things like blue mage content or even the Fall Guys event mechs can trip you up, but I guess the stress you mention comes less from the content and more the pressure of the people around you.I did the ARR and HW EX's synced, they were nice. But from SB onward, they seemed to change, the mechanics just became more and more punishing. I don't know, maybe the ARR and HW ones were more punishing on release, and because I came in late and had the benefit of the Allagan tomestones gear, they were easier?
It took around 1 - 2 hours to complete each of them.
I jumped back in recently with the Zoraal Ja EX with some friends, we put up a PF for an extra two people, and it just wasn't any fun. I wasn't coordinated enough for that silly stack moving mechanic. We tried for an hour, and even though the PF said blind and practice, we still had people jumping in and out constantly, after the second or third wipe.
Edit: I also really enjoyed doing the blue mage challenges for the titles and the rewards (the umbrella)
That kind of content seems to be the perfect difficulty for me.
It's not fun to me. All respect to those of you who enjoy it, play it to your heart's content, but I much prefer the slow solo deep dungeons challenge. I don't have to wait for other people, I don't have to watch them get frustrated and leave, I don't have to feel bad about my mistakes and I can just go again and learn at my own pace.
I understand the feeling, but I just like the direction the game is taking by including more group content and just leaning more onto the fact that this is an MMO.
So you enjoyed Endwalker, but didn't even do the content from Endwalker. Actually explains alot lmao

Money. That's the differenceThere is absolutely no reason for the tome cap even to exist in the first place. So what I want to farm 24/7 and gear all of my roles with BiS that has actually no 'real' value beyond fun and doing the fights using different roles.
How is it different from logging in 1 day/ week vs being active and not logging in after for a time? I would very much like the developer not to treat me like a child who needs their hand constantly being held and told what I am and not allowed to do with my own damn time and money.
Without a weekly cap, the already sparse content would be well stretched beyond its breaking point. It means stuff like say, the 24 man releasing next week has literally zero value. After all, how can it serve as catch up if there isn't a tomestone cap necessitating the need to "catch up" in the first place? They need a way to keep you subbed. Which, to be fair, would remain true even if we were overflowing with content. No developer can keep up with how quickly players complete content. Case in point, that 24 man likely took a month or two to fine tune and test yet will be over with in 40 minutes. For a subscription based game, there always needs to be some form of progression limitation.
"Stand in the ashes of a trillion dead souls and ask the ghosts if honor matters."
"The silence is your answer."
Its quite clear you didn't complete or even attempt the content. Criterion is exactly what you are looking for, but you disagree because...you can I guess?

You could always just ask if you don't understand what I am saying instead of using such a passive aggressive undertone.
Do you want me to repeat it using simpler words so you understand or are you just here to troll, because then I'll pass, i have way more important things to do.
Incorrect answer.Money. That's the difference

If the gear is the main motivator for doing this, there is nothing keeping you from unsubbing and returning when there is an echo and the tier is unlocked.
The main motivator is the fun and enjoying to the fullest what the new expansion/add-on has to offer.
Side note, you can already complete every piece of content out there with just the crafted gear that has been available and needs no tome farming nonsense. (well it does need some tomes but not near to what you need in order to be BiS)
