I have a feeling that as long as players can hoard houses, players will hoard houses, even without the incentive of sub gil. It's frustrating that SE clearly stated way back in 2018 that "Players will be permitted to own only one private and one free company estate per World per service account". I wish they had stuck with that rule and enforced it in the code.

They do. But you're trying to ask in a roundabout way to strip plots of people who were grandfathered in.

Ruled changed yes , but you can't retroactively punish them for what the system allowed at one point. They now have to follow the rules set by s.e to retain their plots now.

Having a seperate service account does affect.supply but s.e consideres that account a seperate player and doesn't violate housing rules

The issue is that the system continues to allow it. It's currently possible to acquire multiple FC houses on a single server on a single account using alts, which is why the wards on new Dynamis worlds are all filling up with sub shacks.

And I'm not suggesting that anyone's houses should be taken away. I would just like to see SE enforce the 1 fc/1 personal house rule going forward. My suggestion about auto-demoing FC houses owned by multi-owners was more for newly acquired houses if SE ever carves that rule in stone, because there may still be legitimate cases when an FC house is transferred to a character on an account that already owns an FC house.
