It's already paid housing when you must have a subscription to even bid on one since trial players can't bid on any because of the hard cap of 300k Gil alone.

This sounds like it would be an idea from someone that doesn't have their desired plot. It's also a terrible idea too, paying the subscription covers that already.

they already do. You can buy your way to dawntrail and level all the way to 90 with a card swipe.

Honestly, trial players are playing a trial only, so yea, they should not ahve access to all the features or aspects of the game. I would hate to see what it would be like if trial players were also competing for the limited available housing plots.

Otherwise, I do not feel paid housing is a good way to go. You know the phrase "slippery slope". Not a good thing.

Honestly they could add an instanced housing system to supplement the existing wards, and there’s no reason it should be a paid service, unless they want to charge a small, retainer-like fee for additional, multiple homes.

Other MMOs that don’t even require a subscription have multiple sizes and varieties of instanced housing. Most are free, only the more elaborate ones are cash shop.

At this point, I’ve lowered my wish list to an instanced plot where everything works the same as a ward plot, but where you can customize the background scenery and size at will. Since I already have a ward plot, I would be fine paying an extra dollar a month on my sub if I really had to, to get that. I don’t really think it should have a fee, but definitely not if it’s someone’s only plot, since ward owners don’t have to pay extra for their one personal/one FC per server.
