So, what is your point, exactly? Does it really bother you that much if people want to post in a forum thread? There are plenty of threads to select.I know it's the internet, so you are required by game license to reach for outrage.
Let me put this another way:
"The deafening silence isn't answer enough for you yet?"
Guys. It's been months. They do not care about this theoretical strike you have, and your goal is kneecapped at the gate by the precise thing that handicaps every single strike:
No one is *really* on strike. Or if that inflates your rage-gland too much, maybe "Your group does not number sufficiently for anyone to be bothered by this."
Queues are still popping, all day every day.
So.
Y'all still going on about this?
Edited- as it's particularly interesting as it seems that you're interested enough to make almost all of your posts in this one thread, and all of them just to complain. Bored much?

I would also like to see the healers improved, but it does concern me on a couple points for the healer strike's intent.
It feels like it was just phase 1 for the green river happening with Savage PF. Although for a while, some of us thought it was the random roulette dungeons that will actually send a message for phase 2 so to speak. I actually got a slightly quicker queue as DPS today for levelling and MS.
In the event we do get acknowledged, I am also unsure if we can present our suggestions cleanly to Yoshida. Eg. Even if we don't agree with something like changing Dissipation, would we forgive it if we got ForsakenRoe's 3 stance take to SCH? One risk could be the fairy stops using Embrace heals with Offensive stance on. It could also have that 6 - 10 second cooldown to switch like Cleric Stance used to have. If we have more than 4 healers worth of ideas, would they work well for a 5th one?

Healer numbers in regular content may not be dropping, but healer quality certainly fell off a cliff.
Remember all the people coming into this thread after DT launch complaining about "those healerstrikers that only do damage and don't heal"? Yeah, those aren't the healerstrikers, those are the DPS mains that Yoshi P wants desperately to attract to the healer role.
You get what you design for.

Certainly. I was looking more towards some who only care that a clear happens. /looks at WAR casting Nascent Flash on a random DPS when the healer goes down. I understand this is an obvious problem for a tank to be able to do this, but this is what we are dealing with for the strike.
In my case, I still help the best I can for new healers. We did have some newcomers come in to post we were right about the boring filler spam once they got good at healing. In a way, an indirect way to bolster the strike numbers if they know how we feel. But still, some others I've talked to still just notice the wait times are the same and they still clear.

It'd be great if any of our suggestions made it through to SE, but until changes actually occur (if they ever do) we won't know if what we post here is actually getting picked up by the people who need to be picking it up, or if it's all just pissing in the wind.In the event we do get acknowledged, I am also unsure if we can present our suggestions cleanly to Yoshida. Thanks for the signal boost, but I feel I have to clarify that I made the CD on those stances 0.5s to avoid the issue Cleric Stance had of 'you cannot swap back out of it', making it feel clunky and unresponsive. By setting the CD exceptionally low, it allows the player to feel like they're not 'at risk of getting trapped in the wrong stance', the mental barrier that turned a lot of players off from even trying to learn Cleric Stance, and also gives a safety cushion for players who misplay their stance-dancing (eg they need Defensive, they swap to Emergency by accident, the 'cost' is that they simply weave Defensive on the next OGCD weave slot). Priority one with any suggestions, I think, needs to be 'it is as un-punishing for a newer player, as possible', either via potency tuning (such that pressing the filler button instead of doing the actual rotation is a minimal loss of potency), or designing systems that cushion the player from mistakes and allow them to quickly recover (eg having the stance CDs very short, so that a misclick can be instantly rectified). I'd like to think that the stance dance gameplay would make up for the loss of the 'complexity' (read: 'working around the HW era jank') of Dissipation being reworked, but without being able to play it, none could say either way
IDK if I'd trust SE with a 5th healer though, until they 'fix' the four we have. It's like if SE adds a 5th Tank, but it's also got the same IR/Req style 'press X, then press big hit Y 3 times' gameplay, I'd rather they made the current 4 feel more distinct from one another first. Even if some players want to argue that the current Healer design (one DOT, one nuke being 75%+ of your DPS GCDs) is somehow 'good gameplay' (it's not), there's other things that need to be fixed even within that paradigm. Such as the question of 'how are the healers so simple in their DPS rotations, and yet WHM still ends up behind on damage every time?'
edit: Just had a really funny idea (not a good one in terms of the gameplay implications). If we did have SCH with 3 stances, Offensive (which disables Embrace), Emergency (which causes Embrace to be a heal) and Defensive (causes Embrace to be a barrier), it'd be really funny if swapping to Defensive/Emergency causes the faerie to immediately throw out an Embrace without regard for the 'faerie internal GCD'. Cos you'd then be able to do Broil>Defensive>Broil>Emergency to force more Embrace casts (at the cost of way higher APM)

I mean if squares “solution” to the healer problem is making the tanks even more immortal and have even more party healing then there really is nothing we can do at that point, it will eventually have to come to a point where the healer role is basically exclusively filled with people who are just there to get carried and that’s going to create frictionCertainly. As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.
I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess

Considering SE's current logic for the Phys Ranged role seemingly being 'well they justify their place in the party because of the 1% buff', I would expect SE's solution to make healers feel 'needed' would be to make all instances of damage against the party be doubled, and a trait added to all healers that says 'all allies gain a passive 50% damage reduction when you're in the party' such that any party with a healer experiences no difference, but any party that forgoes a healer in favour of extra DPS, they take 2x damage and instantly explode on the first raidwideI mean if squares “solution” to the healer problem is making the tanks even more immortal and have even more party healing then there really is nothing we can do at that point, it will eventually have to come to a point where the healer role is basically exclusively filled with people who are just there to get carried and that’s going to create friction

Reminds me of the first Absolute Zero raidwide at the start of E8S, which absolutely did explode the entire party early on with no mitigation.Considering SE's current logic for the Phys Ranged role seemingly being 'well they justify their place in the party because of the 1% buff', I would expect SE's solution to make healers feel 'needed' would be to make all instances of damage against the party be doubled, and a trait added to all healers that says 'all allies gain a passive 50% damage reduction when you're in the party' such that any party with a healer experiences no difference, but any party that forgoes a healer in favour of extra DPS, they take 2x damage and instantly explode on the first raidwide
