    Maybe they do but they’re all just really really bad at the game and all the gameplay changes are specifically for them lol.

    I mean, they’ve gotta be aimed at someone , and I really don’t see anyone like ‘wow I’m so glad they made the healer role functionally redundant so I can spam any button and succeed’. Maybe it was aimed at the devs themselves all along?!

    The recent interviews actually shined a light on this a little bit. In their internal testing, they identify "common stress points" and just aim to remove those regardless of any player feedback. Basically they just assume the playerbase is awful at playing the game and they want to remove anything that could possibly cause stress to the players, so that explains why they removed a lot of the failure points in job rotations and such, can't have the players making a wrong decision after all.

    That actually does well explain why they don’t really see the excessive amount of tanks soloing the bosses with their immortality as a priority because they don’t see that as a downside of the system they see it as their completely incompetent playerbase being carried by a benevolent “talented” player

    As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.

    I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess
