It's time to Lock Out Machinist from PF

So I go back reading the thread, and you start Lodestone shaming? Yeesh. Just because you don't play a job doesn't mean you can't understand how it functions. Not to mention, MCH only gets very few things added onto its 90 rotation which are our 2m Full Metal Field and Excavator from Chainsaw. What's annoying is that I have actually bothered to poke around logs and lo and behold, MCH is the worst DPS in the game because it's not allowed to be a Pure DPS.

rDPS tends to be the biggest trend this tier considering we got a lot more 2m Burst happening after they double downed on it from Endwalker. Even checking nDPS and aDPS, MCH only comes out on top of just the bottom of the barrel, which are RDM/SMN along with the other two Ranged. It doesn't make sense why it should have the lowest rDPS since it's supposed to be the Pure DPS of the Physical Ranged role.

Locking out MCH is the only answer at this point since we're early in the tier and it sends a message that they need to fix it before Alliance Raid Patch. If a job with utility does far more contribution than a Pure DPS that barely has any, then there's a major problem.

If you actually looked at the logs, you'd see that the MCH median is only about 110 DPS behind DNC on M4S, which is a difference of an entire whooping 0.5% damage. There's absolutely nothing wrong with MCH's DPS, it's just what happens at the start of the expansion with crit-identity jobs like MNK, WAR and MCH, because there isn't enough substat growth for them yet -- that will be imrpoved as the tiers progress, always has been.
One of the jobs HAS to be the last in the list, I don't understand why it has to be an issue, and asking other people to lock the job off PF because you alone are not satisfied with your own self-imposed metrics is extremely entitled.
You seem extremely fixated on "utility" being solely a DPS raid buff thing, and forget completely that MCH alone has an extra mit on Dismantle which the other Phys Range have no equivalent of. That alone creates a unique niche for progging difficult fights.

You're missing the point. MCH is last within the Phys. range role and the role itself is soooo far behind the melees and PCT, that's the main issue. The best MCH in the world do the same dps as a median melee, that's bad.

One job has to be the last in the list, ok. Why MCH? Because of dismantle? Because mobility? Ranged tax? I'd argue that SMN as has much mobitlity, same range, raise, can even heal, is less apm intensive and do more dps!

While I agree dismantle can be good during prog, it's not a game changer and once the first couple of weeks are done and a few pieces of stuff arrives... not that useful.

There is a huge difference between being last by less then 5% and being last by over 10%. Most people won't care about being last if the margin is small enough, but the margin is pretty huge right now.
