I get where you're coming from, but a character on your forum account literally means nothing. I don't play the character tied to this account anymore, for example.

I do play all ranged physical and have raided with MCH and BRD for all expansions since SB, use my own main character on these forums, and I do mostly agree with the OP. The job is badly designed, does garbage damage in spite of everything, and doesn't fit its own niche.
