enrage in normal? yes we need that. and before some casuals complain at the sheer thought of it... the existence of an enrage doesnt make the fight harder. it all depends on how lenient it is.

do you know ruby weapon has one? most people dont even know that... so in most cases it wouldnt matter. but if this would be common there would be far less tanks doing a one man show because they know they would die anyway

Simple solution. If only one player is alive bosses enrages after 10 seconds. 400% increase in dmg output good bye tank.

I need to state that I like challenge runs a lot.
I wouldn't mind the enrage only existing under normal light party conditions that way it prevents griefing in roulettes.

It depend of the situation.
If it's after multiple wipe, only 10 minutes left on the timer and the boss only have around 5% left, well okay, i even encourage and root for the tanks
Otherwise i think that the tanks should just reset.

i genuinely almost never post here but its been a more common occurrence i've noticed this expansion specifically where tanks, knowing they can just out sustain a boss, will refuse to reset a fight and instead force players to sit there and wait for them to whittle a boss down. I decided to take my WHM into trial roulette for my daily and got Valigarmanda normal. There seemed to a be a couple of newer players and they were having issue with the add phase/stack marker mechanic and we ended up dying due to not having enough bodies to survive the stacks (except the tanks) so i was trying to explain to them the easiest way to handle it. Instead, the tanks only on the 2nd or 3rd pull decided to just keep going and make us sit and watch and the encounter ended up taking almost 30 minutes. I thought the healer strike thing was silly at first tbh, but i've noticed this happening more and more often and i'm at the point now i will just not be taking healers in duties anymore, ya'll can suffer.

That's ok. People will take your place. I hate to say it but it's just not going to affect anything.

No I won't. The healer queue is instant. That will entice people to run healers. An 18 minute dps queue will make healers on strike swap classes back to healer and just run it because let's be honest - it's really not *that* bad. Tanks like that are super rare in my experience and a couple fringe cases won't change my mind. When this happens please take the time to report the tank(s) in question for griefing and write them off as just being losers who have some kind of chip on their shoulder that they gotta try to show off their e-peen. You won't be seeing them that often. If they do it in a dungeon and it's not the last boss, vote kick them.

With that said, there are issues that need to be addressed for sure. An enrage timer on normal content is more than reasonable and will prevent this from happening tbh.

It’s being selfish. It’s easy to survive on a tank, especially warrior. Those same people would be dead on any other job. A bit of courtesy goes a long way.

i cropped it out cause it was easier since you can't show names/etc on here since its considered flaming. i asked them to reset and a few of them asked "how long is this going to take?"

im sure they will! i just will not go through this kind of instance again. someone else above said it perfectly though, its not even a healer thing, the dps are useless too when tanks just invalidate the need for any other people to be there period
