Its not faster to die and restart. Your party was weak and died, there is no promise of a sudden gain of competence next pull.
By comparison, you know what your capable of as a tank, thus its lower risk to just solo it and get the guaranteed move on rather than be a tutorial bot for your party

problem in this particular instance is they pulled before we could talk about WHY we died. i'm patient, and i want people to learn. and i also want people to have that authentic "first fight" experience and the tanks wasting 30 minutes of our time denied these players the chance to do that and i truly think we wouldve killed it again in another pull or two if they were at least given the chance.

As a tank main there is nothing more boring than soloing 50% of a bosses hp.
I honestly do not understand how you find that engaging at all.
Go solo old savage fights or do, you know, actual savage if you want to feel like a tank

Yes it is, ngl I play since ARR and during all my playtime I had 3 times only where it was worth for the tank to not reset. It a normal difficulty fight and people wont wipe for the next hours like if they were progging savage.

Only reason this problem exist is cause Tank are completly overtuned for the content, it not like you are good or that it require skill to survive when the game don't punish you for running around with 7 stacks.

Healers are also overkitted for normals. I agree its a balance problem but they seem to like this direction for the game.

i genuinely almost never post here but its been a more common occurrence i've noticed this expansion specifically where tanks, knowing they can just out sustain a boss, will refuse to reset a fight and instead force players to sit there and wait for them to whittle a boss down.
