Good solution but maybe make it at least a minute, 10 seconds is a bit fast. Otherwise, I'm totally down with this!

I need to state that I like challenge runs a lot.
I wouldn't mind the enrage only existing under normal light party conditions that way it prevents griefing in roulettes.

    I hope that makes sense.

it/its - 14 accessibility is bad, ease of access is not accessibility, jobs are boring. Transphobia ruins real attempts at criticism and it's whack.

I decided to take my WHM into trial roulette for my daily and got Valigarmanda normal. There seemed to a be a couple of newer players and they were having issue with the add phase/stack marker mechanic and we ended up dying due to not having enough bodies to survive the stacks (except the tanks) so i was trying to explain to them the easiest way to handle it. Instead, the tanks only on the 2nd or 3rd pull decided to just keep going and make us sit and watch and the encounter ended up taking almost 30 minutes. I thought the healer strike thing was silly at first tbh, but i've noticed this happening more and more often and i'm at the point now i will just not be taking healers in duties anymore, ya'll can suffer.
That's a really cropped out and small screenshot.
Did none of of the six of you on the ground even try to ask them for a reset?
A few take the silence as consent to continue.

i cropped it out cause it was easier since you can't show names/etc on here since its considered flaming. i asked them to reset and a few of them asked "how long is this going to take?"

That's ok. People will take your place. I hate to say it but it's just not going to affect anything.

"But when more healers stop, you'll see!"

No I won't. The healer queue is instant. That will entice people to run healers. An 18 minute dps queue will make healers on strike swap classes back to healer and just run it because let's be honest - it's really not *that* bad. Tanks like that are super rare in my experience and a couple fringe cases won't change my mind. When this happens please take the time to report the tank(s) in question for griefing and write them off as just being losers who have some kind of chip on their shoulder that they gotta try to show off their e-peen. You won't be seeing them that often. If they do it in a dungeon and it's not the last boss, vote kick them.

With that said, there are issues that need to be addressed for sure. An enrage timer on normal content is more than reasonable and will prevent this from happening tbh.

im sure they will! i just will not go through this kind of instance again. someone else above said it perfectly though, its not even a healer thing, the dps are useless too when tanks just invalidate the need for any other people to be there period

Did anyone ask to reset? If not then it's fine. Also depends on the percentage left on the boss I guess. I got into an eden fight, the one with the black bird and the timers
Anyways it was just me and the tank for the last 10 percent, nobody said anything until after the fight ended and we killed it. Someone just said "could have reset". I thought that was super weird as they sat there watching and never said anything.

Moral of the story is say something before it's to late.

i asked them to reset several times and i believe someone else did. neither tank ever said a word. a few dps mentioned things along the lines of "how long will this take?" etc . this was right after adds phase where i believe the boss had around 50-60% left and the clock was at 37 min left when they finally killed it so we spent about 30 minutes in there total after 2 pulls

    Pretty Simple.

If you're alive and doing damage.

Make sure you got "Percentages" On.(Prior to the fight)

If you're alive, and it looks like your cooldowns and skills will keep you alive for along time unless you fck up.

Check how fast the % is going down.

If it's going down fast enough to not become a pain in the Arse if you or anyone else is dead.(and the health is low for the Boss.)
    KEEP GOING, COMMIT.

If it's taking so long for percentages to drop with your damage of whoever is still alive.(Regardless/Specially I'd the Boss HP Will take forever to down with the rate it's got going)
FN WALL IT, ITLL BE SO MUCH FASTER AND LESS PAINFUL FOR YOU. REGARDLESS IF YOURE ALIVE OR KO'd/DEAD.

Its not faster to die and restart. Your party was weak and died, there is no promise of a sudden gain of competence next pull.
By comparison, you know what your capable of as a tank, thus its lower risk to just solo it and get the guaranteed move on rather than be a tutorial bot for your party

Thats how I feel about it anyway.
